More spiders today

First another view of the NAU Ceramic Complex kilnyard - gas and raku kilns where there is a lot of firing taking place as end of term approaches.

Here are the day's spiders and the book that inspired them - bought in Old Tampa Book Company  Tampa, Florida. Unfortunately, it is an English book ("A Book of Spiders" King Penguin 1947) so they are all spiders of the British Isles, but that will perhaps suit the public when they are exhibited in Southwold, England, in June. I often use insects on my pots but I have never been able to bring myself to do spiders! Yours are looking really good.

Love your stunning pinchpots with spiders, trucks, ants, etc.
I look forward to seeing your body of work, such wonderful shapes.
Hope you are having a grand time at your clay residency.
