Firing tests

Today I am putting tests into a soda kiln Kenyon Hansen is firing, to see if this is going to be the way for the spider cups to go: I know the firing will be very carbon-trapping, so perhaps the tests will be sheathed in grey, with blackened rims, but that might just be it for the spiders.
