The Bourry Box train kiln is top loading. I will be firing it on Saturday from early in the morning.
The weather is extremely good - still and hot, and the sun comes up at about 3.30 and it is only really dark around 23.00 - so we should be able to enjoy a really good long day's firing. There is plenty of dry wood - mainly ash in the long pieces the kiln requires, but there is plenty of pinewood scrap to pile on top of the ash.
