Thrown yesterday, now with thumb-holds

I am going to be at Guldagergaard from Saturday for a month of kiln firings. (3 Train kiln and one cross draught firing..)
To be sure that there will be enough work to fill the kilns, I have been throwing from early morning and filling boards with cups - throwing is a joy after all the pinching of porcelain.
When I get back in September I am going to have a Studio Sale with many, many cups ...... I have the "Ant" cup I made for the competition in Carouges to sell, because it did not get accepted.

I have work in the Summer Show at Galerie Besson, London, opening on 11th August.

For the whole of the month of August I will be at Guldagergaard, for the Woodfire Marathon.
This involves a whole lot of firing activity during the month, working on making improvements to the kilns and discussing future plans for the kiln yard.

Working again

Making pinched work everything seems to go so slowly - although I have been working for two days the work still barely fills one board...
In the rear: candlelight holders, in front, more salt pots for the Kunstindustrimuseums shop.

Drawings from Norway

I thought that I would paint watercolours on the trip to the fjørds of Western Norway, but the scale and the weight of the place meant it was just not watercolour country.
Instead I drew with a 4B pencil - the green pencil I was sent by The Clay Studio of Missoula last year for "Potsketch"...
